Abstract

Molesting or abusing a child is one of the most concern of the present society. But unfortunately this topic is not been discussed as a major issue, though it creates lot of mental and health issues on the affected child. On the other side the offender escapes punishments, as it is not spoken out. Solutions could be arrived only if this issue is discussed and awareness created among the children and the parents. Children has to be made conscious through parent’s teachers and also through the education system. Responsiveness has to be made on various laws and acts that exist to punish the offender. This paper analyses the POCSO Act of 2012 and various other measures for recording the evidence of the incident, on which most of the people and parents are unaware.
