Abstract

Padmanabhapuram   is  a  Travancore  era palace located in Padmanabhapuram ,  Kalkulam taluk of Kanyakumari District.   It is also known as Kalkulam palace.  Padmanabhapuram  palace is  a   wooden palace  was  built  in  1601 C.E. and   is  a  masterpieace    of   indigenous    Kerala architecture that remains well  maintained.     Padmanabhapuram   palace   is   a   remarkable 16th century CE wood palace of the erstwhile Maharajas of Travancore in the state of Kerala.
