Abstract

The success of a movie in the box office is often used as a measure of its popularity and impact. The concept of the "100 Crore Club" has become a benchmark for the success of Indian films, including Tamil cinema. In this research paper, we aim to identify the common patterns among Tamil movies that have entered the 100 crore club by conducting a narrative analysis. I analyzed the storyline, character and other narrative elements of the top-grossing Tamil movies to identify the key elements that contributed to their success. This analysis revealed several common patterns among the Tamil movies that had entered the 100 crore club. These findings have several implications for writers in Tamil cinema, which can be used to improve their rate of success in their work. Overall, this study provides insights into the factors that contribute to the success of Tamil movies and can help filmmakers and producers create better content.
