Economic Impact of Rural Poverty Eradication Programmes in Tamilnadu

Poverty is a universal and multidimensional threat since era. It transcends all political and geographical borders. The policy makers and administrators are looking for an alternative approach to identify the rural poor households in India. Evaluation studies of different approach in poverty alleviation programme (PAP) connected by cost of organizations points out significant proportion among the set of beneficiaries. This study is multi-dimensional in its approach and cover social, political and economic aspects of all these facts of rural development, economic empowerment is of at most significance order to achieve a long-lasting and sustainable development of society. The study indicates two main difficulties in implementation of the scheme. First the fiscal challenge, which include wage determination and transfer. Secondly management problems, with the age wise, which include, instances fund source of problem that has lead payment through banks and post offices. Other problems, the study including beneficiaries not having proper knowledge about the nature of work and the second one is most important factor having political interference in implementing in the scheme. The present and variable criteria to the policy makers and administrators for adoption to identify poor households in rural areas for poverty alleviation and safety net programmes that are implemented in rural areas. The reviewed income transfers and poverty alleviation essentially turns on the universality of coverage in a welfare state versus the restriction of benefits with a social safety net to the truly need.
