The key objectives of this research are to analyse the socio-economic backgrounds of tourism and hospitality entrepreneurs in Mizoram, identify the factors influencing these entrepreneurs, and develop a framework model outlining these influencing factors. The study employs a descriptive research approach, utilizing a structured questionnaire to gather primary data from tourism and hospitality entrepreneurs. Given the finite and small population size in Aizawl, Mizoram, the researcher opts for a census or complete enumeration method, collecting data from 211 respondents between September 2022 and November 2023. These respondents represent various sectors, including hotels, inns, and homestays, travel agents, and tour operators. The data are analysed using frequency analysis and factor analysis. The study identifies six key factors influencing tourism and hospitality entrepreneurs: motivation for enterprise initiation, regulatory compliance, financial constraints, digital infrastructure, government assistance, and obstacles in business development. Based on these findings, a framework model for the factors influencing tourism and hospitality entrepreneurs is developed. The insights gained from this study are expected to enhance the theoretical framework for tourism and hospitality entrepreneurship and provide a deeper understanding of the managerial implications for improving perspectives in this field. This research contributes valuable knowledge that can inform policy decisions, support frameworks, and strategic interventions aimed at fostering a robust and sustainable tourism industry in Mizoram
